Blue to Red
Jul. 12th, 2008 03:11 amI had a music post all ready to be posted. Then Windows updated, rebooted and the next thing I know, LJ ate the post.
It took me a night to write that damn thing.
So a quick one. Please, for the love of god, go watch Hellboy 2. I don't care for the storyline or the inconsistencies that drove me nuts*. But the creatures! OMG! If you like the fey critters of Pan's labyrinth, you'll love the visual overload that is HB2. The Troll Market scenes** sent me into throes of ecstasy. And the Angel of Death! I had to squeeze poor E's arm to stop myself from squealing. (It has happened before. The peeps who watched the SATC movie with me can attest to that.) The AoD in action is waaaaaay cooler than its poster counterpart. I also couldn't help staring at her*** ribcage. It's that good.
And of course there is Prince Nuada. Luke Goss was beautiful as Nuada. He didn't overdo the angst factor (YES!) and he got both his points across to the audience: Nuada is not really a villain and HELLO TWINCEST! XD; His fighting scenes were also a pleasure to watch. E and I agree that there would be Elf fan-girling again, but it would be done by a totally different group of fnagirls. LOTR fangirls need not apply, thankyouverymuch. XD
(Don't you just love the Gaiman Boy? Yea.)
... have you ever wondered how Guillermo del Toro's take on the LOTR trilogy would look?
* Did anyone noticed that Liz's flame went from blue in the HB1 to orange in HB2? Is that supposed to happen in the HB comic verse?
