#8. People tell me that all that spendthrifts are acting out some bizarre form of powerplay, seeking to (re)affirm themselves, or using their purchasing power to fill that void in their lives. I usually agree to be agreeable. But if given a choice, I would like to ask these people what made them think the spendthrifts are not aware of why they do what they do and more importantly, what else would you have the spendthrifts do?
